There was a post of writing advice going around a while ago suggesting to open the document and completely re-type it for editing purposes. I tried this the first time while revising Happy Lights, and I’m back at it again with Beast.
1. It really is so amazingly helpful. Not just for catching errors like missing words/wrong tenses, but for seeing issues with the writing and storytelling.
However:
2. What a huge pain in the ass. It wasn’t so bad with HL, which was just over 20k before the revision, but Beast is already almost 64k and it’s making my head want to explode.
